May 2014: A Special End Of The Month Surprise

Instead of my usual photographic month in review,I am going to be doing something a little bit different today. As many of you know,I've been a photographer for more then twenty years now. And during that time many different cameras have come my way. During the digital era? That hasn't changed since the elimination of printing/developing costs have made it a great deal easier to simply purchases cameras and equipment. What you are about to see is the current digital cameras that I have, that I have accumulated over the course of the last decade. Hope you enjoy this special video treat, that you enjoyed your may and are looking forward to the road into summer that is yet to come!

Masterpieces In The Stone: Mother's Day By The Coast Of Maine

During a Mother's Day trip to Moose Point State Park near Belfast Maine, I was a bit vexed that so many of the local tourist attractions were charging exorbitant prices (even to residents) to visit the facilities-even before the summer months. One of the things that lifted my spirits after that unfortunate display of human cynicism was seeing how many of the ocean-tumbled rock formations created patterns similar to abstract expressionist paintings. It was so gratifying to see an example of nature's ability to create its own artwork for free. And how it all adds to the beauty and color of the world.
