October 2013: A Month In Review-HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Welcome to my October month in review. Due to different personal reasons,
my output on this blog has been poor this month. However I did want to at least do a month in review blog post because today its Halloween. I thought I'd have a little Halloween fun with some innocent imagery of some of the creative examples of pumpkin carving around the local area-as well as a spooky "haunted" graveyard at the Edgar R. Tennis Preserve in Deer Isle,Maine belonging to the Toochacher family and their descendants. I'm not sure if its considered bad luck to photograph random grave yards. But any ghosts present didn't seem to mind. So happy Halloween.

Sunset Revelation On An October Evening

On the evening of October 11th,2013 I was at a place called Fields Ponds on one of my (unfortunately) infrequent father/son outings. We arrived there around 3PM in the afternoon and left near 7PM. During that time we both bore witness to something I've personally never experience: the entire cycling of a sunset from beginning to end. The way in which the light thrown through the clouds-alternating in color under the influence of the water and the Earth's rotation,my father and myself were moved into a mutual feeling of being involved in a naturally transcendent experience. Having an entire day of contemplation of the event,I can only sum it up by paraphrasing one of my favorite quotations. The world is vast and complicated and sometimes, rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles.
