Florida Room-A Hot & Sunny Blast From The Past!

Six years shy of a month from exactly now,on the final weekend of May of 2010? I embarked on a four day 30th birthday vacation with my family to Florida. We stayed on the Clearwater beach area. And visited different sections of Tampa and the Greek port city of Tarpin Springs (upon recommendation of course) and generally took in this special environment. Something about the bright, sunny tropical atmosphere of this region really helped to awaken the strong Hispanic aspect of my bloodline: a lover of the warmth and sunshine. The photography was breathtaking for me personally. And here's a sample, from my photographic archive,of the people and places I saw along the way. Especially during this contrast between cool and freezing in the Northeast? Enjoy this sunny imagery.

Andre's Lucky Geode!

With St.Patrick's Day coming here in a few days from this writing? I'm put very much into mind of the Blarney Stone, that famous slab of limestone that according to Celtic mysticism acts as something of a love potion to those who kiss it. It's a beautiful romantic image for Irish culture to the entire world. Considering me and my family's lifelong love of geodes? I decided to create my own type of Blarney Stone legend. In this case a clear rock of many colors and textures-symbolically celebrating diversity and understanding. For those celebrating? Happy St.Patty's Day!

Technicolor Mud Season

Yesterday was the first day I'd been out taking photos after half a week laid up with the stubborn nasal symptoms of the common cold. While outside,it suddenly came to mind a comment my father once made about "mud season"-the transitional point from late winter to early springtime. Where the snow began to meld with the thaws and rainfall. Today I noticed this. As the days are getting a lot longer? The late afternoon sunlight created many unusual color patterns. None of these colors have been altered. Just naturally enhanced for thy pleasures.
