With the use of the macro feature of my camera and the idea of selective color? A wonderful little accident occurred today which showcased the colorful strength of the tree for which the state of Maine is nicknamed. Green, orange and red tones were able to show themselves strongly during the dead of winter. And that's why I felt these images would be the most appropriate to visually represent what it's like to be out in nature at this place during this particular time of year!
My long awaited,un-duplicated PHOTOGRAPHIC EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

Frozen Ground: 2-0-1-5!
Difficult to imagine that only a few short days ago the ground was bare and the temperature was freezing. Today there's snow on the ground from Saturday evening's snow showers. And not only is the temperature below freezing? But there's an equally crisp Northwest wind pushing the remainder of the storm out. I was actually bundled up very very tightly while outdoors taking these photographs. As often, the shadows and landscape can provide many different levels of grace and beauty.
